Probably would've been nice of me to post the winner here... duh.
Congrats to Harry Dresden for his winning bid of 5 stars!
Next up is a retcon contest, which will start after Harry's contest has run it's course.

If I had the stars? Definitely the throwing stars, but otherwise, probably weapons or the year long talismans (particularly Gim's Bulwark or the equivalent from year two which I can't remember off hand)

Who wants a Best Memory Squid Disc? You know you do... It's the rarest of the rares, so the question I have is: How much are you willing to pay for it? I'm having a truly silent auction, and secret at that! Send a bid at Wa7erproof saying how much you are willing to pay for it. If your bid comes out...

Well, I thought this would be a simple contest and would generate lot's of entries, guess I was wrong >_<
So, I'm gonna announce a close date and a prize and we'll see if that changes anything. Check the first post for details.

How'd you like to get a free rare item? All that is required is that you make me laugh more than any other entrant into this contest. Rare items being given away.
So, I've decided to retire my rare hunting alt, Wa7erproof. I really don't care to see his inventory just sit around unused, so I'm devising ways of giving them away. One Idea you will see in a new thread shortly after I post this. Others include: Secret Auction (probably for the Best Memory Disc), ...

I'd enjoy both the mall and the leagues, but you bring up some very good points about the downsides involved there. and the puzzle ideas sound fantastic, but ultimately I'm more interested in the story. Especially with that teaser after the Mick fight.

A question that comes to mind with the auction house issue: does all of your gathered chips get sent into deep storage too? If not, perhaps they should because I (personally) think the auction house (and stores when they are implemented) should not be too big of a detriment to a run as long as you h...

Re: OMG RETCON! (discussion)
I am glad to see us another step closer to retcon. I think I'd like the checklist to be more of an on/off switch system than a list of choices. I understand that wouldn't work for all of the lists, but it does for most of them. (examples will follow on each table.) Basic options table. I like to see...

I'd like to see some semi-rare or rare encounters that can only be unlocked by flying or water breathing. Perhaps locations like the sewers (eeww), the triassic park, the space station, and of course the other bay areas could have water breathing adventures. "You see a cave/item/creature under ...

Besides the gadgeteer skills that need to be sorted out, As far as the multiple choice powers go, I think you should simply give each option a formula so that each one increases in power as you put skill points into the base upgrade power. So for weapons we have extra damage (base the extra damage ...
