Have PP regeneration, use skills that can't miss (spells, animal kung-foolery).
You can also use items for stunning (and even damage, though that will not scale well).
Or don't buff your attributes (str, int, ref); instead buff your to-hit and critical hit chance.

I think I had the opposite "problem" there (couldn't find Static, fought many Hovercrafts). Either it's cruel[1] RNG, or there's something else going on.

I don't think I didn't (and can't believe I didn't yet) ask for consumption info somewhere (character page probably). Often I don't remember how much sugar/coffee I had today already. (I usually remember that I had zero vegetables).

I have been finding the ghost about every 15-20 turns, while keeping my non-combat buffs going (to help with the frogs). Maybe fighting the tougher foes in the frusion non-combats helps find the ghost? Anyway, frusion foes are much easier to beat as an Elemental (with some cross-class skills) than ...

Can we get timestamps in chat? It often moves very slowly, and I often open the tab and do other things, and then I get back and see maybe one line posted in the past few hours, and don't know how out of date it is.

hammering should give you a lead pipe. That would be broken ... (and by that I mean the *pipe* would be broken. A broken lead pipe. Not usable for replacing). Is the lead pipe consumed? There should be a way to streamline the process, Use full +nc throughout. Farm lead pipes using free runaways (I use godmother's carriages before midnight, ouch's clown makeups after). Be able to do thousands of damage in one strike (I suspect the mechanic is "if done_damage>limit then decreas...

Is there any benefit to releasing more tadpoles after the future "may be saved"? The obvious effect is that I have to waste more turns fighting tadpoles before I can start replacing pipes.

The ones in ancient crypts (and presumably other oldest-and-strongest-emotion zones) *were* affected. Slap frusion plus two more "harder" modifiers on those, and it can go beyond nintendo hard.

Enemy fumbles are uncapped? Still not showing on character page, but still marked as "** Fumble and critical hit values are capped at +/- 20%." in description of Virtual Lad's goggles. They're capped, it just wasn't being factored in properly for the display. If you see any other weirdnes...

Can we get some sort of overview page with total modifiers -- from all equipment, effects, passives, etc... ? Right now, when I want to know if equipping something would hit a modifier limit (critical chance, combat rate) or some other sort of magic number, I have to keep track of everything myself ...
